Primary Function:
Originate mortgage loans, deposits, and cross-sell other bank products. Professionally promote the bank and its lending services to the community, including realtors, builders and mortgage customers.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
- Solicits mortgage loans, informs prospective loan clients of the financial institutions underwriting guidelines and government regulations.
- In-person interviews for loan applicants.
- Completes each loan application and all pre-processing functions in a timely manner to permit the good faith estimate to be mailed within the requested three-business-day period.
- Screens loan requests based on financial institution policies and on types of loans offered by the institution.
- Answer incoming phone calls and schedules appointments.
- Communicates approvals or denials to the borrower.
- Request credit reports as necessary
- Review title work, surveys and appraisals for loans in process.
- Maintains knowledge of bank products and services and able to cross-sell.
- Establish and maintain an active calling program to include current bank customers, prospects, and centers of influence.
- Retain existing bank customers by processing renewals of assigned loans prior to maturity.
- Represents the financial institution to the community through good customer relations, participating in local and surrounding community events.
- Participates in activities for generating new business, such as sales calls and special events.
- Provide feedback to management on activities and identify opportunities in targeted area.
- Promote and enhance the corporate culture and foster the development and implementation of organizational vision, policies and guidelines.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, bank policies and procedures, including specifically Citizens National Bank’s Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Policy and procedures, and its Customer Identification Program.
- Maintain regular consistent attendance, personal appearance, punctuality, and adherence to applicable health and safety procedures.
- Establish and maintain efficient working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and the customers.
- Other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Required:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or finance
- Two to five years’ experience in a financial institution or related industry
- Two years of Mortgage lending experience
- Microsoft Office and Computer skills
- The Bank would train qualified candidates for the position
